Stories have been a part of Dea’s life for as long as she can remember.
Dea is a young author from Maryland, whose love of storytelling began before she could even spell every word on the page. She started by filling notebooks with her ideas, creating exciting worlds, relatable characters, and tales of paranormal entities. In her debut novel, A Withering Betrayal, Dea explores themes of secrets, family dynamics, and the powerful emotions that come with them.
For Dea, writing is more than just creating stories. It’s a way to understand the world and her place in it. When emotions feel overwhelming or life feels uncertain, she turns to storytelling to process her thoughts and shape the world in a way that makes sense to her. Through her characters, she explores how people react when faced with fear, change, or the unknown, and how those moments can shape who we become. Writing gives her a space to imagine freely, express herself, and bring her ideas to life without limits.
When she’s not writing, Dea enjoys sketching, playing the piano, doing karate at KenZen Do, and spending time with her family. She hopes her stories will inspire other young readers to embrace their creativity and find their own way to tell their stories. Dea is thrilled to share her stories with the world and looks forward to continuing her journey as an author, one novel at a time.
